Meet our Founders
Nick Inge, Worldly Wise Co-Founder & Director
Having travelled and worked overseas when I was younger, I joined Kent Police in 1994 and embarked upon my career as a police officer. I specialised in investigations and intelligence and when I retired I developed my own company, iTrust, a specialist feedback software business. I am also the author of two books, one on speaking up and a novel on the same theme.
My career in policing means I am acutely aware of the risk and dangers young people can sometimes face as they try and navigate the world around them. I am also a father and when my daughter told me she wanted to go travelling in a gap year with a friend, I called upon a friend of mine to help the girls develop some personal safety skills and awareness.
We soon realised the benefits of offering a range of services from skilled professionals to help young people grow their confidence, awareness and skills in finding their path in life. Worldly Wise was born. Founded in 2020, Worldly Wise is a not for profit enterprise that has grown to become a committed network of business professionals offering an exciting and diverse range of skills and experiences to young people in schools across Kent and beyond.
I know the power that education, support and opportunity creation can offer young people in making a difference. At Worldly Wise we are passionate about giving that access to as many young people as possible.
