On September 19th, Worldly Wise held its 4th annual charity golf day at the beautiful West Malling Golf Club in Kent. The event was a resounding success, bringing together businesses, friends, and supporters for a day of golf and networking, all in support of a great cause.
Bridging the Gap Between School and Work
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Worldly Wise is dedicated to helping young people bridge the gap between school and work. Our organization connects businesses and schools to provide vital support for students as they prepare for life after education. We focus on developing essential life skills, social skills, work experience opportunities, and career guidance.
This Year’s Special Focus: STEM for Girls
This year’s golf day had an exciting new element. In addition to our usual fundraising efforts, we used the event to recruit business ambassadors for our latest funded project. This initiative aims to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects to girls across Kent secondary schools, furthering our mission to create diverse and inclusive opportunities for all young people.
A Day of Networking and Support
The golf day provided an excellent opportunity for local businesses and supporters to come together, network, and learn more about how they can contribute to Worldly Wise’s mission. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces returning to support us, as well as welcoming new friends to our community.
